While I'm doing the French language version of the comic, this isn't getting translated to English. Everything George says in the first panel is a Quebec swear word... you hear a lot of them this time of year when people are dealing with the ice and snow. They're all super religious based instead of the bodily based American swears. These are appropriate to the setting, and the punchline rests on the fact that they're French.
