I have had the idea of including the idea that some folks are bigoted against zombies for a while. I decided that I'd have them show up for this arc around the time I was writing the "Cult of Personality" arc (where the zombie siege attacked the apartment). I figured that would give me more than enough set up to bring them in. I'm pretty pleased with how today's strip turned out. I put some extra effort in setting up the background and it feels like a sunny day. Some strips just "pop" and this one is one of those for me.

Future John again, I remember that when I was working on this, Jim Zub had mentioned a method for sunny day lighting and I wanted to try it. Where you take your color layer and duplicate it setting it to screen, but you remove the shadow area so the shadows stay dark and the brighter areas pop.
