With the guys escaping from a Japanese prison, they decided they should probably just leave the country and not dilly-dally around in the land of the rising sun. But, it would seem their plane is suffering from an unexpected delay. Yes, the Simpsons did a gag where there was giant monsters interfering with a plane take-off too, but it didn't have a giant horny moth fornicating with a 747... take that Matt Groening. I was at a loss on how to portray the bouncy nature of today's comic and I didn't want to just do motion lines or apply motion blurs to everything... Then I thought up the tilted panels and figured that it worked just fine. I like the effect. It's subtle but gets the message across in my opinion.
