Character: Zoey

Zoey McGillicuddy is a sardonic goth with a dark wardrobe, darker sense of humor, and a family legacy of zombie-hunting that goes back generations. She works at Burning Issue, the edgiest store in the mall– part alt-culture boutique, part existential crisis gift shop. When the undead rise, the McGillicuddys make sure they don’t rise for long– and Zoey is no exception. Things get complicated when one of the risen, George, turns out to be… tolerable. Maybe even sweet. Definitely not part of the plan. In a not-quite-defined relationship with the zombie she was raised to destroy, Zoey walks the line between family duty and feelings she never expected to have for someone issued a death certificate.
