Like a Marvel movie, you need to stay to the end to get the last bit out of an arc. That's my thinking on the after the credits scene strips...
Not every arc gets both an epilogue strip and an after credits scene strip... but this one had both planned and I think you'll agree it was worth it.
I've come across a new way to do the ghost effect, while working on promo art featuring Drew, so when I decided to have Grampa and Granny McGillicuddy show up for this end of the arc strip... I knew It'd be a great time to test it out. I think they came out swell if I do say so myself.
There's a lot to this strip that I like. George's hair really feels wet to me. There's something about Zoey that just works as well.... and like I mentioned before the new ghosts...
Speaking of new ghosts... I thought about letting Granny get the Hayden Christensen/ Vader Force ghost treatment ala current Star Wars Blurays... but nah, she's how she was when she died. With Disney releasing the old school versions on Bluray soon, it's appropriate. Plus, Grampa gets his head back together in one piece as a ghost, so that was enough of a change.
