A little while ago I decided Lyn isn't a morning person. I figured this was due to her chasing rabbits in her sleep, tuckering her out at night.
I tried bed heading up her hair, but when you're already working with some spiked up style like Lyn's short hair... it's difficult to get the effect just "right".
I know some of you are interested in the creation side of how I draw the comic... so I'll tell you that since Wednesday's strip I was able to figure out how to "fix" the problem I've been having with Photoshop and my Cintiq. Ever since I got my Cintiq in early November, I haven't been able to use Photoshop for much-- I've moved to doing most of the comic in Manga Studio 5 to compensate. The pen just wouldn't keep correct pressure sensitivity. I just assumed there was something screwy, but I know so many people that use Cintiqs and Photoshop so I wasn't sure where the problem was.
With a little Google-fu, I tracked down a trick that worked for me.
Apparently for some people, myself included, if you click the shortcut for Photoshop with your mouse instead of the Cintiq's pen... you'll encounter the problem with having the pressure sensitivity break on you. Like you'll be drawing and your nice thin line blows out and is the maximum size of your brush. You can't control it at all. It made doing corrections in Photoshop a living hell.
But I made a shortcut that I keep on the desktop area that the Cintiq sees and I click that with the Cintiq's pen instead of the mouse and everything is coming up Millhouse. It's like I've got a brand new Cintiq again. I'm pretty stoked to be able to use Photoshop again and not curse every ten seconds.
