I've wanted to change George's hair for a long time, but there was continuity reasons I couldn't... but there has been a little time skip and we're outside of the previous stories that were taking place in a short period of time, so now I can. It's a modified version of the hairdo he had for most of ZR's history... just less bangs in his face. I've edited it some in the next couple of comics he's in, as I wasn't 100% with it in this strip, but there's a lot of what I wanted in this and it was a good starting point.

But this is the start of a forty-ish strip long arc. It focuses on George and Zoey plus John and Lyn. We have this strip, then we go to a John and Lyn, then there's a combined, then we're back on alternating stories.

The theme for both of the plots was meeting the partner's families so if I were to have one take place and then another later it'd feel like I was treading the same ground... but if I acknowledge that and play them off of each other-- which is the plan, I figured as a whole it worked. I have the whole arc written out in full scripts, unlike what I used to do for stories where it'd be just an outline and I'd try to make a joke on the day.
