It's been established that John has more than a passing fascination with the works of J.R.R. Tolkien in the past. The money Zoey is referencing was given to John here. I admit it would be difficult for me to part with stacks of fat cash too, I don't know if I'd go full Gollum though. A couple of years ago I was bit by a snake and had to go to the E.R. and I also had a super large bill for the day due to a lack of medical insurance... so I can feel George's pain in this circumstance. I don't recommend having to drop over a thousand bucks for a tetanus shot and two alleve-- that's what they ended up giving me for the snakebite.
