I struggled with the writing to get to this strip... I had the next few strips in the arc in the outline, but getting Glenda here and interacting with George was difficult.
Then I stumbled into the bit where she immediately leaps to the idea that George is a screw up and tada! We have something that makes sense both character wise and it allows George to respond with his lines for panel two.
Drawing George where he's feeling super vulnerable is a nice change. He's typically super confident, arrogant, and pretty regularly a jerk... but when it comes to Zoey-- he's a big softy.
