I don't know why I frequently have John eating gross stuff... but I just find it funny. When I was planning out this arc, the strip about candy was going to be Mini and Karl both going to town on their haul, but Mini would have such a sugar rush he'd develop some sort of special power. Then I saw at least one comic do the same thing and I had to come up with something else and this strip was the result. Karl will show up in another strip in this arc instead. I thought about tossing in another extra or two, but I was feeling like crap from my flu shot I got yesterday and I had to compromise and leave them out. Plus panels two and three would be pretty full if I did try to fit any in there. This arc isn't close to being over, so there'll be time for more party goers to be in the background.
