Full disclosure, I knew I was doing this arc and I didn't want to stop using Glenda in the comic since her and Lizzy together have been really fun and it's been great seeing how their relationship has changed both of their characters. So I wanted to come up with a reason why Glenda couldn't Deus Ex Machina away the situation and that's when I wrote in the change to her magic from falling in love with Lizzy. It's given this arc more of a consequence and has and will give Glenda the ability to grow as a character. George, well... he's still a jerk ass.
