I didn't want Lyn to be super sad since she's determined to succeed at getting John back, but I wanted to show her still living her life but not forgetting John at the same time. So I came up with this at the last minute and decided the other stuff I had planned works better with this as the introduction. She's going through the motions, but she's living her life.
