Denny's isn't a restaurant in Montreal... but I didn't want to come up with new branding for a restaurant while I was laying out this comic. Originally, they were supposed to have burgers at the restaurant at the end of my alley... but that closed down. So the legacy timeline's restaurant gets to live on.

This strip serves a couple of purposes. One, it gets the characters back up to speed with the audience... and two, it lets you, the readers, know that Jack and Jules are married in the reboot. As per the rules of the reboot-- as many of the relationships that were established in the legacy timeline as possible are intact. Jack and Jules were just married before the rebooted strips started. They had a much less eventful ceremony and nobody tried to kill them leading up to it.

There was also 100% less animated dildos attacking during bachelor parties.
