I finally reveal Zoey's Grandma. Several people correctly guessed that Zoey is indeed named after her and that the tombstone we saw on Monday will be hers. When you introduce a character only to have something bad happen to them, it typically doesn't work well. As a storyteller, you haven't earned the gravitas you're searching for. I knew this so that's why I came right out and showed her funeral already. As an audience you're already prepared for her death and the strips we have with her up to that point we saw from the future should have more meaning. At least that's my thinking. I'm excited for the part she will play, however brief. If you're in a part of the world that likes to blow shit up today, be safe.
