Skip to contentThere's a lot of unanswered questions that will stem from this and I'm not answering them now. In the second panel, I wanted the movie's dialogue to feel old since it was recorded decades ago on film stock. At first I tried using the same film grain overlay that I placed on the character art, but it was too distracting. I didn't want to change the font because it's still English being spoken and I'm not a huge fan of different fonts for different speaking voices... so in the end, I just used a newsprint kind of color to make it feel aged. I think it feels different enough and not too distracting so that gives it the look I think I was going for. Richard in panel three might be my favorite drawing of him so far.
